What You'll Need
It's essential to be prepared with the following tools and resources to ensure you get the most from the Satisfying Scenes course:
Paper: I recommend having a good stock of paper. Much of the course material will be print-friendly for your convenience, allowing you to write, highlight, or annotate as needed. Interacting with the course material in this way often aids comprehension and recall.
Writing Utensil: A comfortable writing utensil is necessary for note-taking, completing exercises, and analyzing scenes. Whether you prefer a classic pen, pencil, or a more modern stylus, make sure you're comfortable using it for extended periods.
Printer: A reliable printer is necessary to print out the course materials. A hard copy of resources enables you to read, mark up, and review at your convenience, greatly enhancing your learning experience.
A Scene from Your Work: If you're currently working on a book, bring a scene from it to analyze. This will provide an opportunity for practical application of your learning, giving you firsthand experience of how these principles can enhance your writing.
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone": This book will be referenced for analysis exercises throughout the course. If you do not already own a copy, please arrange to borrow or purchase one. Familiarizing yourself with its content will provide a common ground for understanding and discussing the concepts taught.
